Jordan, Hadelich & Tchaikovsky 4
Overview
Following his spellbinding appearance last season, Augustin Hadelich returns for Korngold’s Violin Concerto — a brilliant showcase for Hadelich’s artistry steeped in the golden-age glow of the composer’s Hollywood scores. The program culminates in Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony, one of classical music’s surefire thrillers that swings from dark despair to exuberant triumph, haunted by a recurring “fate” motif representing the tempests of the composer’s emotional life.
