Chicago Symphony Women’s Board

The Chicago Symphony Women’s Board is a group of dynamic women leaders who are passionate about the Orchestra and its mission, with a focus on producing fundraising events and activities to benefit Chicago Symphony.

The Women’s Board meets four times a year to conduct board business and enjoy music and educational programs. Fundraising activities support Chicago Symphony’s annual Symphony Ball; IMPACT; sponsorship of a Civic Orchestra of Chicago musician, and the appearance of a woman guest artist, conductor or composer during the season. Membership is via a nomination process.

Mission

The mission of the Chicago Symphony Women’s Board is to promote the artistic excellence, exemplary educational programs and community involvement of Chicago Symphony by engaging women leaders in advocacy and fundraising efforts.

Membership Requirements

  • Annual dues payment of $300
  • Minimum $1,000 contribution to the Chicago Symphony Annual Fund
  • Annual gala fundraiser of $1,500 (or ticket price set for the event)
  • Civic Orchestra musician scholarship of $250
