Chicago Symphony Presents

Thibaudet, Batiashvili & Capuçon

Oct 18, 2026 — 3:00 PM

Overview

In their early piano trios, the teenage Shostakovich and Debussy showed the world their youthful exuberance. By the time Dvořák wrote his Trio in F Minor, he was in the prime of his career and favoring a dramatic, darkly Romantic style. Chicago Symphony Artist-in-Residence Jean-Yves Thibaudet explores these rich juxtapositions while joined by his longtime trio partners, Georgian-German violinist Lisa Batiashvili and cellist Gautier Capuçon.
