PERFORMERS

Throughout the 2016-17 season, German violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter is celebrating the 40th anniversary of her solo debut. To mark this milestone, she and accompanist Lambert Orkis are revisiting some favorite works of their long collaboration, including Ottorino Respighi’s Violin Sonata in B Minor. “It’s such a richly orchestrated score, and one of the really extraordinary pieces [for violin]. It's a piece that is not overexposed to say the least." Read more at CSO Sounds & Stories
